Leeann
Hi! I’m Leeann.
I’m a wedding planner, former middle school teacher, and someone who genuinely loves a well-thought-out plan.
I spent twelve years in the classroom as a middle school math and engineering teacher. While the setting may be different now, the heart of my work has always been the same, guiding people through important moments with care, organization, and confidence.
After years of planning weddings for another company, I felt called to build a business that truly reflects my own heart, values, and the experience I want every couple to have. I wanted to create a planning experience built on genuine relationships, thoughtful communication, and the belief that every couple deserves to feel seen, cared for, and completely at ease throughout the planning process. That’s exactly why Leeann McKay Events was born.
When I’m not planning weddings, you’ll usually find me at home with my husband, Flynn, and our three boys. We’ve been married for over fourteen years, and our home is always full of laughter, adventure, and just the right amount of chaos.
Outside of weddings, I’m happiest with a good book in hand, planning our next family vacation, shopping for the perfect find, meal prepping for the week ahead, squeezing in a workout, or spending time with our backyard chickens. I’m a proud chicken keeper, which probably isn’t something you expect from your wedding planner, but it’s one of my favorite little pieces of life.
I’m a planner through and through. Give me a timeline, a color-coded checklist, and a beautiful design board, and I’m in my happy place. But after planning hundreds of wedding moments, I’ve learned something important: the moments couples remember most are rarely the ones we planned. They’re the unexpected hugs, the happy tears, and the laughter shared with the people they love most. My job is to take care of everything behind the scenes so you’re free to experience those moments.
My hope is that by the end of this journey, you won’t just feel like you hired a wedding planner. You’ll feel like you gained someone who genuinely cared about your story and was honored to help bring it to life.
